Well good news they do not have to do another Cath of her heart. The one they took 6 weeks ago worked out for what they needed. The doctor's and cardiologist's spent sometime Tuesday morning discussing Paige's heart. The news is they have to repair the pulmonary vein and go on with the Glenn surgery as planned. We are looking at about 2 weeks to head back to the hospital for surgery. I am so grateful she doesn't have to have another Cath and I am grateful for the knowledge the doctor's have to fix her little heart so she can continue to be with us. This gives me time to get ready for Rick & Kristi's Wedding which is on August 13th & kids start school on August 11th so I need to get some school shopping done. So things are busy!!!

Paige's surgery cancelled...

The day before admission to the hospital for testing with mommy! I love this little girl and I am having a hard time thinking that in 2 days she will be handed over to the doctor's for surgery. It hurts me so bad inside. I wish it was me instead!

Peek a boo...Paige waking from a long nap. It was needed while mom ran around the house picking up and packing.
Paige's day in the hospital...
We got a phone call this morning at 8:00 am letting us know a room would be ready at 10:00 am. I had been up for quite sometime getting the last minute things done. I fed the kids and we had family prayer together and I dropped Rylan off at the Skelton's and Shaylee & Amberly off at Misty's. Then a quick drive thru to the bank and off to the hospital we drove. We were greeted of course nicely by the nurses and doctors. I sure love them! They didn't waste any time getting her prepped for her echo cardiogram because she hadn't eaten since 5:00 am...you don't want a fussy baby so I was grateful. They got the IV in, drew some blood and the tech came in for her echo. The nurse had some sleepy medicine ready just in case she started to get a little cranky but Paige was perfect during her echo. She even fell fast asleep even with an empty stomach. She amazes me everyday! The cardiologist went over the echo and they came back to tell me they needed to get a CT Scan so don't feed her because of the anesthesia. So we waited from 1:45 to 4:00...trust me it was wonderful she fell asleep in my arms and I loved the sweet little cuddle I got for a couple hours. Meanwhile as she was sleeping Laura came to talk to me about the echo. They found some concerns with her TAPVR (Total Anomalous Pulmonary Venous Return) which is her pulmonary vein. It is obstructed so they will be reading all the tests and that will determine when the next surgery will take place. In the mean time the doctors, cardiologist and the whole team will be discussing Paige in the morning at an early morning meeting and I will find out when we need to come in for another Cath of her heart and when we need to plan on the next surgery. I will be going home tonight after the anesthesia wears off. She drank two Pedialyte bottles and fell fast asleep. She needs her rest. I am so grateful this happened now and not later. What a blessing it is to have doctor's who are taking the time for my daughter to study out this concern. Everything will work out! We will be praying for the doctor's and for Paige!

Paige started to grab at her IV so she got a sock put on it. Cute!

Thank you to everyone who has helped in so many ways. I love all of you so much! My heart is full and this is such a hard thing to go through but knowing that you are loved makes all the difference in the world!

Motherhood:-An-Eternal-Partnership

As I was sitting this morning thinking of ALL the things I had to do before I go to the hospital on Monday morning tears filled my eyes. I felt overwhelmed. I felt hopeless. So I prayed. I searched and this is what I found. What a wonderful reminder to me of the most important role I am playing...a mother! Tears filled my eyes and I haven't stopped crying!

4th of July trip to New Mexico

This was Paige's first trip ever. We went to Hatch, New Mexico to see my parents. We stayed for almost 2 weeks. My sister Julie & her husband Kameron and four kids came down from Idaho to visit. It was fun for the cousins to be together. Shane took everyone to the Elephant Butte and the kids had a blast. I stayed home to take care of Paige.

Happy Independence Day! I love living in the USA! It is great to have the freedom we have.

The kids loved to drive in the tractor with Vince (dad's helper). It was so much fun to see the field's all covered with crops. The sad thing is we were really looking forward to coming in October to see the field's covered with pumpkins but two days after we left a huge storm came in and the Rio Grande flooded the field's. It was a bummer deal. Mom sent me pictures and I couldn't believe it! Thank goodness we left just in time.

After we left Hatch mom and I drove together to Jana's to help her out at her new house. It is BEAUTIFUL! She is a spoiled brat! It is now her new nickname. I loved helping her out and getting things organized for her. I love working with my mom. We are a great team and get a lot done together. I will miss Jana so much but it's great to see her so happy!

We got home from New Mexico and already miss the cooler weather and my parents. We all need a vacation from our vacation but instead I had to catch up on some laundry...who could resist doing laundry with this cute little girl.
I've been needing to can chicken for a long time now and it will come in handy after Paige has her surgery.
and bottling pinto beans.
I have no idea what got into me because I seriously am lacking some sleep but it sure felt good to do a little canning. It always makes me feel good to learn how to do things my mother and grandmother are great at. I want my children to learn how to do these things so I need to set that example for them. It is a lot of work and a little warm for awhile in the kitchen but it's worth it!
Thank goodness for Rylan helping out with Paige while I work in the kitchen.
We got this BUMBO and Paige loves it. It sure comes in handy to have Paige sitting and watching me in the kitchen or cleaning a bathroom.
