Paige's fluid has stopped draining. She is doing good and will be coming home on Friday. Her chest tube is coming out today in a couple of minutes. Susan, Lori and Jackie came to see little Paige today and brought delicious things to eat. Thank you!!! I am so grateful for loving kind words and for so many prayers that have truly been felt and heard in Paige's behalf. She is an amazing fighter and is never going to give up. She has truly given me strength. I am so blessed to be her mother!

Happy 5th Birthday Amberly!
It's Amberly's 5th birthday today! She is so much fun to have in our home. She says the funniest things and is a great joy to have around. She is so excited it is her birthday. She just makes me SMILE! Everyone needs an Amberly around! We love her so much! Some things Amberly loves to do at age 5 are: crafts especially painting, dancing, going to Preschool, playing with friends, is a great big sister to Paige, loves going to primary, loves to sing, loves to be the Chef Helper in the kitchen, loves Barbies especially Rapunzel's long hair, loves it when mom plays the piano so she can dance, loves chocolate milk and ham and mustard sandwiches. Dixie and Kassie came early this morning and played with Paige while I took a shower and got ready for the big day! They helped decorate the playroom at the hospital with streamers and painted happy birthday signs for Amberly's Birthday! She will love it!

Paige...
Well after three chest tubes and fluid still draining surgery is scheduled for Wednesday morning at 7:30 am to hopefully fix the problem. I will update after I get the correct terminology of what they will be doing in the surgery. She is doing good. We play and play all day together. Today we went on a long wagon ride, stopped to talk to all our neighbors (we have great friends here), watched a little Baby Einstein, sang songs, played peek a boo and I left for awhile to do a little birthday shopping for Amberly's 5th birthday tomorrow and enjoyed a yummy salad from Paradise Bakery.
Surgery is to repair right pulmonary veins for pulmonary vein stenosis (narrowing) and tighten PA Band (Pulmonary Artery).
Sunday morning I enjoyed a great visit from Heidi Skidmore. She has been such a great strength to me as well as Molly Wright. I am truly blessed to have friends who care so much about Paige. They have been here and know how frustrating it can become and know how great it is too just like me! I enjoyed listening to beautiful music from Paul Cardall. Look him up he is a walking miracle. His story is inspiring!
Last night I enjoyed a fun evening with the Shepherd girls. They brought a delicious meal and the tastiest pumpkin cake (the nurses dug right in). We played a game of Phase 10 and had fun visiting and laughing. Emily decided she wanted to have a sleep over at the hospital so we brought in a cot for a slumber party. We watched When in Rome...cute! This morning I ordered breakfast and she got to experience hospital food. It was so funny!

I have a lot to learn!!!
Feeding tube...
Paige is having a hard time eating and getting the nutrition she needs for her body to grow. She just doesn't look good today. I met and discussed with the Doctor's about a feeding tube. We discussed how it would help her gain weight and help her get better faster. We also discussed the things we have to watch for the next couple of days. The most important is the drainage from her chest tube which has come down significantly, a chest ultrasound to see how the fluid looks inside her body and after all that Dr. Cleveland will then decide on Saturday if surgery is needed. If it is necessary it is on the schedule for Monday morning at 7 am. It was so great to have friends come for lunch today! Paradise Bakery tastes a lot better than a frozen Healthy Meal with Manicotti. Thank you! I just wish I wasn't so far away! Don't get me wrong I am thankful for this hospital but it is just a little too far from home!
Kids School Pictures
Keith just took pictures of the kids school pictures. They just brought them home yesterday. They are growing up too fast!
