happy birthday amberly...

She is 6 years old today!!!  Hurray!!!  She is one of a kind!!!  She makes us all laugh and smile!  We hope she has a fabulous day!  We sent her on a scavenger hunt to find her presents.  It took her awhile in the kitchen but found her Easy Bake Oven.  She loves to be the Chef Helper and now can continue to help me in the kitchen with her own little oven.

Joyful events…

First Clara (Shane’s girlfriend) was baptized on September 24th by my dad Ken in Las Cruces, NM.  We missed out on going to New Mexico but were with her in spirit.  We are so excited for her to grow in the gospel of Jesus Christ!  She is amazing!  We love her so much!  My amazing mother made Clara's baptism dress!

Second Brody Lee Bloomfield our new nephew was blessed on September 18th here in Mesa, AZ.  He screamed out his own blessing while Bryce attempted to give him his name and blessing.  Bryce did a great job!  We enjoyed some delicious homemade cookies and homemade ice cream and watching some fun family videos.  We got a lot of good laughs!  We also enjoyed listening to Chelsey’s family sing while her brother played the guitar.

Third Temple Work.  Ken, Vicki, Keith, Craig, Jana, Annie had a wonderful sealing session while Kent, Jamie, Clara, and Shaylee did baptisms.  It was wonderful to be with so much family in the temple.  It was Clara’s first time to the temple and Shaylee’s 2nd time.  It was a special day!

Fourth Taylen Bloomfield turned the great age of 8 and was baptized on October 8th  in Thatcher, AZ.  We had the great privilege of traveling to attend her baptism and birthday party.  When she got baptized it took her breath away.  It was pretty cute!  While we were there we went to the Graham County Fair in Safford.  It was fun to see all the animals, goodies, produce, and quilts that had been entered into the fair.  We ate some good old fresh Kettle Corn and rode a couple rides (that made me really sick).  We enjoyed the company of family.  Then Sunday morning we headed off to Silver City with Jana and Craig but first stopped to see there new Feed Store in Duncan.  It's awesome and they've done a great job setting it up!

Fifth little Brad Russell Bloomfield another new nephew was blessed on October 9th in Silver City, NM.   Brad did a great job even though he was nervous.Brad and Crystal’s Ward was where Grandma and Grandpa lived in most of there life.  We took the cousins to where their daddy’s used to play whenever they went to visit their grandparents.   We had a delicious lunch afterwards and enjoyed the perfect weather.   It was great to see relatives we haven’t seen for years.  Keith’s Aunt and Uncle and cousins,  along with all of our immediate family.

We look forward to many more joyful events in the years to come.   We are truly grateful for family and the love we all share.  It is great to be with family!!!

Funeral of a dear friend and partner...

On Monday, September 19, 2011 Keith lost a dear friend and partner Alex Clark.  He was in an accident at work and Returned With Honor to our Heavenly Father.  We know our sweet little Paige was there to greet Alex with a big hug and I'm sure Alex told her how much we love and miss her.  Alex Clark left behind a sweet, amazing and strong wife Erin and three children.  He will be missed!  We are better people because of who he was, what he taught and the happiness and smile he had most of the time.  Keith met Alex about 14 years ago while attending RSI.  They then worked together for two different companies.  Alex decided to buy a business Johnson Refrigeration.  After a year on his own he needed and wanted a partner.  Keith was honored to have worked with him for 10 years as business partners and friends.  Keith will miss the everyday conversations they had helping each other figure out a/c problems, how to deal with certain customers, life, family and church.  On Friday, September 24, 2011 was his funeral.  How touching it was to have the Young Men in the span of 5-6 years of being the Young Men's President sing an amazing arrangement of Called to Serve.  It was an extremely touching and emotional day for us having feelings of missing Paige on the surface.  Keith was honored once again to be the pall bearer of a dear friend.  We will always remember Alex Clark.  Our prayers are with his dear family each and everyday to receive the comfort that they so desperately need to get through each day without there husband and father.

Thou Shalt Be Comforted

Today I went to the cemetery to the gravesite of sweet miracle Paige.  I spoke out loud to her and told her how much I missed her and couldn't wait to hold her again and her big sister Savanna.  I felt peace as I walked around the cemetery looking at other headstones around Paige's.  I designed her headstone with Don at Mountain View Cemetery and everything came together perfectly.  I can't wait to see the rough draft in about a week so we can get it ordered.  I don't enjoy going and seeing a temporary stand with her name typed on it.  I hope it gets done quickly.  I am so excited to put beautiful flowers in the vase.  I also went to Bunker Family Funeral Home to pick up 5 audio recordings of Paige's funeral on CD's.  They surprised us and I have listened to it about 5 times today.  It was a tender mercy.  I needed to hear every word that was said and song that was sung.  It was amazing!  I also came across the most beautiful picture today of Joseph Smith and Emma by Liz Lemon "Thou Shalt Be Comforted" it touched my heart and made me cry!  I am so thankful for a sweet husband who continues to comfort me and I him.  We can and will make it through this lonely but joyous time in our life!  Each day I try to focus on the great plan of happiness and to...be of good cheer.
